Acino in Latin America

In 2011, Acino has set up a structure in Panama to serve an increasing demand for high quality pharmaceuticals in Central America. In 2023, the company significantly expanded its presence and capabilities in the region with the acquisition of M8 Pharmaceuticals. This acquisition provided Acino with access to the two largest pharmaceutical markets in Latin America—Mexico and Brazil.

Following the acquisition, Acino established Mexico City as its regional hub, enabling the company to better serve healthcare professionals and patients across the region. In 2024, we enhanced our leadership position in key therapeutic areas with several agreements signed with biopharmaceutical companies to commercialise innovative medicines such as QELBREE®, VORAXAZE®. ZEMIGLO®, ZEMINET® and HYRUAN ONE®.
